Peter Kaye speaks with Marciquie Salmand of Albany County Healthy Families about their home visiting program for expectant parents. Salmand discusses the various free resources that they provide from prenatal parenting up to the child entering head start or school. She shares common struggles and triumphs of new parents and the often-difficult transition from the delivery room to bringing the new baby home. Salmand gives real world tips on how to baby proof your home for a toddler and to make sure that new moms understand the importance of building self-care in their daily routine.
