Jack Church talks with Nicole Kirksey, Director of Tourism for the city of Americus-Sumnter County, Georgia Tourism Council. Kirksey said tourism is a major business for the region bringing in millions of dollars annually while also supporting over 400 local jobs. She said tourist come from all the country and the world with the highest concentration coming from the northern part of the United States as well as many coming up from Florida. Sumter County is unique in the fact it is home to two National Park sites: Andersonville National Historic Site and Jimmy Carter National Historical Park.
