Kindra Ponzio talks with Dee Kovachick, President of Assistance League of Visalia. Kovachick talks about the different programs to help families, mostly kids, get the items that parents don't usually have the extra money for. They do annual shopping sprees for kids so they can pick out the clothes they want instead of being handed a box of clothes. Kovachick says they also help Seniors with lap blankets to keep them warm. She says they have book events where they give away books to the kids and they also help kids out of foster care and sometimes through college.
