Jeanice Lee talks with Beach Pace, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia NW. Pace says their mission is to build 1-1 mentoring adult support to ignite the power of local youth ages 6-18 in Washington, Multnomah, Clark, and Clackamas counties. Pace shares the impact a mentor can have on a child's life and talks about the training, background checks, and different activities that "Bigs" and "Littles" do together. Pace says they support guardians and parents while their "Little" is in the program, talks about the time commitment, and how "Littles" are paired with a "Big". Mentors are needed. (ItsBigTime.org)
