Kindra Ponzio talks with Jennifer Mylenek, Executive Director of CASA of Jackson and Josephine. Mylenek talks about being an advocate for kids in foster care and becoming a voice for them in court. She says it is very rewarding by being able to change a child's story. Mylenek says the judges really appreciate the insight the CASA advocate brings to the case as they are typically the one person that spends the most time getting to know the child and the needs of that child. She says the advocate is the one constant in the child's life, many times building lifelong relationships with these kids that have suffered trauma.
