Sarah Shaver spoke with Jeff Mosier, Area Director of East Central Indiana Fellowship of Christian Athletes about the history, mission, and work of FCA. Mosier talked about what makes sports a good venue to share faith in Christ and told a story of a young woman whose heart was changed through FCA, though she originally came to the huddles for the donuts and the boys. Mosier then talked about what “coach” means and described the FCA “huddles,” activities, D3 discipleship training, summer camps, club sports ministry, and Fields of Faith, an event held every October. Mosier also recounted the rich beginnings of FCA, including the involvement of baseball greats Karl Erskine and Branch Rickey, and how the Holy Spirit began FCAs work that continues to this day.
