Peter Kaye speaks with Executive Director Chaya Harris of Elevate Youth, serving Boston-area communities by providing outdoor recreation and nature-based experiences to underserved youth. Harris discusses the organization’s year round programs, including the Odyssey program, Camp Elevate, Fish On, and the EAT (Educate, Access, Thrive) initiative. Harris also shares information about school partnerships, youth leadership pathways, and long term plans to create sustainable outdoor and job opportunities for teens. She shares what she describes as “pure wide-eyed joy” reflecting on a group of students cheering on a peer learning to ski.
