Bob Dittman talked with Kathy Carr, Executive Director, of the Family House in Winston-Salem on the services they provide for caregivers of adults needing to travel to Winston-Salem for medical care. They house, at limited cost, caregivers and outpatients in a home like environment so they don't have to live in their cars or expensive hotel rooms while patients are undergoing treatments. Kathy mentioned they house, and provide dinner most nights. They can house up to 48 rooms per night, double occupancy. She also mentioned they have room to house more if needed, and are looking to expand for the future. They work together with two highly-rated medical facilities in Winston-Salem to coordinate care for patients and caregivers alike, so their stay is as comfortable as possible.
