Jeanice Lee talks to Oz the Program Director of Filling Empty Bellies. Filling Empty Bellies provides food and shelter to those experiencing homelessness. Oz says they have a clothing closet, toiletries, a food pantry, rental assistance and more. Oz says they will provide referrals to other resources in the area for people wanting more support. Oz states that they are the only low barrier organization that serves homeless in the area. They serve between 40-50 people a day. Meals are served at NOON at 1040 Commercial St in Astoria. The Center is open Monday-Friday 9am-4pm. Donations and volunteers welcome. (FillingEmptyBellies.org) 503.741.3572.
