Kindra Ponzio talks with Betty Ann Hagenau, Exec Dir, Freedom Insight. Hagenau talks about the many different forms of human trafficking including slave labor in the garment industry. She says to ask ourselves why we can buy garments so cheap? Her answer is probably exploited human labor. Hagenau dispels the misconception that it is happening only in 3rd world countries. She gives stats about how it is happening right here in the bay area under our noses and what we can do to help to stop this horrendous crime.
