Jason Craig speaks with Jessica Yates, Program Director of Geaux 4 Kids in Shreveport, LA. Founded in 2013, the organization began as a grassroots effort when its founder saw how overwhelming the first 24 to 48 hours of foster care can be. She started providing essential items from her car to support children during that critical time. Yates shares insight into their Geaux Bags program, which includes supplies for infants and teens, along with Project Geaux Adopt and Just Be-Clause. With the program since 2019, Yates discusses the emotional impact of foster care and their vision for growth. (geauxbags.org)
