Jeanice Lee talks to Executive Director, Laura Handy with Heart of Oregon Corps. Handy shares how they work with young adults 16-24 yrs old in Bend, Redmond, Prineville, Sisters, Madras, with summer programs in Crescent and Warm Springs. Handy says the youth make positive changes within the community and their lives though job training, education, and community service. Handy shares how the youth work in groups doing hands on outdoor projects such as trail work, reducing wildfire fuels by building trails, building homes, childcare programs, and more.
