Jason Craig speaks with Tara Detiveaux, Director of Hope Extreme in Houma. Hope Extreme, founded in 2007, has a mission to empower the marginalized with hope. Detiveaux shares the impact of Hope Extreme's after-school and summer programs, counseling support, and future developments. She provides a glimpse into the community's struggles post-pandemic and after Hurricane Ida, which left many families in desperate need. Detiveaux also shares inspiring stories of young adults who thrived through their program. She stresses the importance of not forgetting Houma's resilience.
