Kindra Ponzio talks with Matt Alves, Chief of Police of Lincoln PD. Alves talks about a supportive community with a lot of participation. He talks about how important the mental and physical wellbeing of his staff is to him. Alves says they have a gym on the premise and a therapy dog that wanders the office to help keep the stress level at bay. He believes in bridging the gap between the officers and the community. Alves talks about several events they have and different ways to do that.
