Sarah Shaver talks with Cheryl Duncan, Board Member of Macomb Foster Closet in Mount Clemens, MI. The Closet exists to help families care fully for their foster kids – and sometimes be able to accept more – and to help kids in crisis feel valued and have more dignity. Duncan talks about the Closet’s recent triple expansion that creates a Target-like shopping experience with clothing, sports equipment, linens, baby items, and much more. She also explains “birthday in a bag” for kids who might have never had a birthday celebration, Christmas and Easter baskets, and why full-sized shampoo is very important.
