Lexy Smith speaks with Al Gameros, The Mayor of Globe. Globe began in 1875 as a mining camp. Globe became a city in the early 1920’s. Gameros was raised in the Globe-Miami area and worked in and served as the Globe Fire Chief for many years. Gameros explains how the town is focused on improving the economy outside of the mines. Globe outlines some of the improvements made to the town like the refurbished pool for the community.
