Peter Kaye speaks with both Public Safety Director, Richard Tantalo and Deputy Director/Emergency Manager, Timothy Henry of Monroe County Department of Public Safety about their roles in helping keep residents of Monroe County safe and informed. Director Tantalo discusses lessons learned from the Covid pandemic as well as issues that are not often associated with public safety - like consumer fraud. Deputy Director Henry walks us through simple effective emergency preparedness planning. He recommends having necessary items on hand like food, cell phone, medications and more for a 72-hour period until government agencies can give necessary assistance in the event of an emergency.
