Peter Kaye speaks with Richard Hoffman of New Life of New York City about the challenges facing teens in the inner city. Hoffman shares what those issues looked like back in the 1970s when New Life got its start and compares them to today. He outlines the five pillars of academics, arts, athletics, service and spiritual formation that New Life relies on to help teenagers achieve more than they ever thought they could by developing mind, soul, and body. Hoffman speaks to the importance of authenticity when working with teens and tells heartwarming stories of impact in the lives of local youth.
