Jeanice Lee talks with Candace Leslie, Executive Director of Northwest Children’s Outreach, serving Oregon and Washington, providing essential clothing, diapers, hygiene items, shoes, books, and other necessities to vulnerable children and families. Leslie discusses the organization’s volunteer-driven outreach network, including partnerships with more than 550 care providers and community agencies. She also shares the ministry’s mission to stand in the gap for children in need and its faith-centered approach to service. Leslie highlights ongoing needs for volunteers, donations, diapers, shoes, coats, and hygiene supplies. A memorable story reveals twins missing school because they had only one coat to share until NCO stepped in. Volunteers & donations welcome. (NWChildrens.org)
