Karvia shares history of the dept, various roles within the fire dept and how people can apply for a career or volunteer. Karvia describes the unique free services they offer the community like changing smoke alarm batteries, cpr/first aid classes, babysitter program, car seat safety, free car seats and more. Karvia gives tips on the importance of having defensible space, an emergency plan for your family, outdoor residential burning, and tsunami preparedness.
