Peter Kaye speaks with Ashley Vanbeber of the Remsen Performing and Visual Arts Center about the importance of the arts as well as the history of the Center and the various events they offer. Vanberber an artist herself, talks about her journey from drawing as a kid to being a professional artist and credits her grandmother for her support and encouragement. She gives a virtual tour of the historic church building that was repurposed by Remsen residents to be a gathering place for the community to engage in the arts. Vanberber also spotlights two annual events the Center puts on that have become staples in the community.
