Chief Hesse discusses how the volunteer-based Fire Dept. operates, the role of a firefighter and EMT plus the training they go through. Chief Hesse provides tips on how to prepare for a fire, importance of defensible space, rip current tips, burning permits, and the importance of smoke/carbon monoxide detectors and families having an escape plan. Chief Hesse also provided information on how people can volunteer and help support the department.
