Jeanice Lee talks with Hilda Mateiu, Founder and Executive Director of San Marcos Basketball, which provides affordable competitive basketball training and development opportunities for youth athletes. Mateiu discusses the organization’s programs, including team placement, skills training, clinics, camps, leagues, tournaments, and scholarship assistance. She also shares how volunteer coaches mentor players in character, teamwork, discipline, resilience, and leadership. Their mission is to remove financial barriers for low-income, single-parent, military, and those with a disability.
