Mecklenburg discusses their mission to provide safety, support, and empowerment to domestic violence survivors. Mecklenburg details services such as emergency housing, counseling, and collaborations with local authorities and community organizations. Challenges faced by survivors are discussed, alongside how the organization helps women and men to overcome those challenges. She also identifies the difference between the various types of abuse and identifies signs of being abused, other than physical violence.
