Kindra Ponzio talks with Jordan Allen, CEO with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Alan talks about a bunk bed ministry that builds beds and delivers them to kids that don't have beds. The beds are built by volunteers, groups, businesses, etc and delivered at no cost to these kids and come complete with new mattress, sheets, blankets, comforters and pillows. Their tagline is: "no kid sleeps on the floor in our town." Allan says many kids are sleeping two and three to a bed or on sofas, with parents, on pads or piles of clothes, and describes the impact they see on the kid's faces when they get their own bed for the first time. He says it has a huge impact on their ability to concentrate better at school and just all around better health. Allen says it's amazing to see how many kids are in need of beds.
