Jim Davis speaks with Dr. Erica Whitaker, Chief Executive Officer of the Southeastern Community Action Partnership located in Lumberton, North Carolina. The Partnership serves a 7 county area with programs that include Head Start and Early Head Start, which supports the learning, health and wellness of children ages infant to 5 years, as well as Housing and Rental assistance and more. Dr. Whitaker talks about the importance of these programs for qualified recipients, especially the need for more affordable housing in the counties that they serve.
