Tanya Bohannon talks with Cathy Stoll, Development Director, about the mission and purpose of Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Centers and the organization’s role in promoting prevention, justice and healing for children who are victims or witnesses of abuse and violence. Stoll explains how Susie’s Place brings together professionals from law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical and mental health services and victim advocacy to create a coordinated, child-focused response. Bohannon and Stoll also discuss forensic interviews, support for children and families, prevention education and the importance of equipping adults to recognize and respond to concerns about child safety.
