Peter Kaye talks safe driving with Brian Bailey of Tire Rack Street Survival a nonprofit organization that holds one day driving schools for sixteen- to twenty-one-year-olds. Bailey shares the sobering news that statistics show a traffic fatality happens every thirteen minutes. He takes us inside the classroom and covers basics like seat adjustment but also the often-overlooked potential danger that the airbag brings if we aren’t following the recommended steps. Bailey talks us through the driving portion of the course where teens are driving their family vehicle learning emergency stopping and steering skills, car control and how their particular vehicle reacts in an emergency situation.
