R&B group formed as a vocal quartet in 1988 in Columbus, OH by Steve Crawford, sister Da'dra Crawford Greathouse, Denise "Nee-C" Walls and Marry Tiller. Discovered by Gene Eugene (Lost Dogs, Swirling Eddies, Afam Again). In 1991 the grpoup performed background vocals on Bernard Wright's Brand New Gospel Format. In 1994 the group moved to Nashvile. Tiller left in 1997 and Walls left in 2001. Anointed toured with Bryan Duncan, Crystal Lewis, Clay Crousse, in 1999 with Avalon and Nichole Nordeman, in 2000 with Katinas and Michael W. Smith and 2001 with Audio Adrenaline, Bryan Duncan, Jake, Greg Long, NewSong, Pillar, Whisper Loud and Joy Williams.
