About Church of Rhythm

Church of Rhythm

Church of Rhythm was a Christian pop/rock band from the 1990s that achieved a level of popularity within the contemporary Christian music scene. The band was formed in 1995 by brothers Jason and Max Hsu, along with David Ghazarian, Paul Shamoun, Jerome Cunningham, and Matt Miller.

Their debut album, simply titled "Church of Rhythm," was released in 1995 and featured their signature upbeat sound that blended pop, rock, and dance influences. The album spawned several hit singles, including "Change of Mind," "It Is Well With My Soul," and "Take Back the Beat." Church of Rhythm quickly gained a following among Christian teens and young adults, who were drawn to their energetic live shows and positive message.

The band released two more albums, "Collective Remixes of Church of Rhythm" (1995) and "Not Perfect" (1996), before disbanding in 1999. Despite their relatively short career, Church of Rhythm left a lasting impression on the Christian music scene and their music continues to be enjoyed by fans today.
