Jordan Smith "Angels We Have Heard"

“Angels We Have Heard (Glory Be)” marks Jordan Smith’s first new Christmas music since 2018’s full-length holiday collection, ’Tis The Season. Smith, 27, first came to national attention when he won Season 9 of “The Voice,” breaking records with his phenomenal vocal range and show-stopping performances every week on the hit talent competition.

This Christmas, Smith’s flawless voice shines on his bright version of “Angels We Have Heard (Glory Be).” The Kentucky native even adds his own refrain, a prayer for 2020 praising God and petitioning Him for peace on earth.

“When the angels appeared before the shepherds on the night of Christ’s birth, they brought with them heaven’s best regards, saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace, goodwill toward men,’” Smith explains of the Scripture passage that inspired the classic carol. “My version continues their song, as we pray for peace, light, mercy, justice, truth, and love in all hearts.”
