Becky Hansen talks with Lynette Spencer about Adventure Works in DeKalb. Lynette compared adventure therapy to more traditional therapy and shared examples of why it works well for so many young people; rather than sitting in an office setting, youth are outside hiking, discovering nature, and any number of activities, sometimes in a group with other youth as well. Trained in Equine Therapy, Lynette was impressed but realized so many people can't afford that type of therapy so she designed Adventure Works to meet the need for all youth, whether or not they can pay.
