Bob Dittman talks with Angela Powley, the CEO of Biomedical Services of The American Red Cross, Greater Carolinas on the importance of giving blood. Powley says the need for blood donations is more important during the summer and during the end of the year holiday season. Only 3 percent of eligible people donate blood, and the need is great, so she encourages people to donate. Powley says it only takes about an hour out of your day to donate, and they have a convenient app that can be used to contact the Red Cross for donations, to keep track of your donation, and how often you may do so.
