LOCAL Closer Look: City Harvest - New York City

Peter Kaye speaks with Carlos Rodriquez of City Harvest about what food insecurity looks like across the five boroughs and the various ways in which City Harvest is helping our neighbors in need. Rodriquez speaks to the fact that forty percent of the food produced in the United States goes to waste and shares how City Harvest’s food rescue is here to drastically change that number in New York. He emphasizes the importance of good nutrition and proudly tells of their many nutrition education programs and how they are serving individuals of varying ages and backgrounds.
