Jack Church spoke with Lonnie Clouse, Executive Director for First Responders First based just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. Clouse talked about the support his organization gives First Responders in the Charlotte region. First Responders are often faced with multiple traumatic situations in a single year while the average person may encounter two of these events in a lifetime. Clouse talked about how his team of 7 volunteer chaplains helps provide support to first responders who carry a heavy load in the field both emotionally and physically. First Responders 1st presently serves 7 different public service agencies in the Charlotte metro area.
