Peter Kaye speaks with Sandra Flach of Justice for Orphans a local nonprofit organization educating and equipping churches, businesses, and community members to care for vulnerable children in crisis. Flach explains how often times poverty is mistaken as neglect and can cause children to be placed into the foster care system. She describes how Care Portal, a web-based system, connects families in need through referrals to over eighty churches in ten counties, who will provide that particular tangible need from furniture to clothing, etc. Flach shares stories of impact and encourages local churches to join the Care Portal and be the Hands and Feet of Jesus in their community.
