Kindra Ponzio talks with Stephanie Tseu, Exec Director, Girls On the Run of Greater Sacramento. Tseu says this is far from just a running program burt a program for all young girls of different abilities, to engage with peers to empower themselves to overcome obstacles. She says the mentor coaches help these girls navigate through lack of self confidence, shyness, etc. Tseu talks about the successes and achievements these girls have shown and the growth and confidence is evident. She encourages all young girls from 3rd through 8th grade to participate regardless of their ability or lack thereof. Tseu says it's not about a race, it's empowering.
