Peter Kaye speaks with Toni Carroll from the Greene County YMCA as they celebrate 10 years in their Coxsackie facility. Carroll not only discusses the fitness programs and resources available to members but also shares some unexpected services the Y offers including chronic disease programming. She gives a real-world example of the impact that Pedaling for Parkinsons had on one of its participants. Carroll reflects on the shift that fitness centers saw during COVID with so many people working out at home and happily reports the influx of past and new members taking advantage of not only the fitness training but the socialization piece as well.
