Jim Davis Speaks with Kara Puckett, Founder and President of Nashville Foster Love Closet. Puckett tells the story of starting the organization out of need in Middle Tennessee for items and supplies for foster children and foster parents in the Nashville area. The nonprofit supplies items like clothes, diapers, wipes, backpacks, beds, furniture, and more to families from as far away as Memphis. They also do events throughout the year to support foster families including parents’ night out and specific events for boys and girls. Finally, Puckett shares the need for more foster families and her hope to be able to open a stand-alone location instead of relying on volunteers and storage units for distribution of items.
