Jeanice Lee talks to Patrick Hurney, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Hawai’i Island. Habitat for Humanity helps people purchase decent and affordable housing. Hurney also shares how Habitat helps repair homes through their Critical Home Repairs program. Hurney talks about the benefits of having decent housing. There are specific qualifications people must have to qualify for a home and for home repairs. There are ReStores located in Waimea, Hilo, and Kona which sells household goods.
