Bob Dittman talks with Executive Director, George Redd, from Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County on how they help people and families get into great, affordable, housing. Redd says the housing crisis is looming large, and they are doing what they can, including the possibility of rentals for senior housing in the future. Redd explains how Habitat works, and how the mortgages differ from a traditional home loan. He also explains what you might find in a Habitat Restore, essentially a thrift store, and the ways in which the Restores help in financing the Habitat builds and employing some in need of work, along with offering volunteer opportunities.
