Sarah Shaver talks with Nikki Burkhammer, Advocate Coordinator for Harrison County (WV) CASA, who explained the CASA mission and how they work to make sure children involved in the court system receive permanence. She describes the CASA’s work for the child which is shared with judges. Burkhammer then shares the story of an 8 year old boy who had been in foster system and shelters for four years, who with CASA’s help was adopted.
