Sarah Shaver speaks with Ryan Newswanger, CEO of Jubilee Ministries, based in Palmyra, PA, serving those affected by incarceration by being ambassadors of life-change through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Newswanger talks about the beginning of the ministry in the late 1960’s in a youth group that caught fire for God. Jubilee Ministries now has 14 prison chaplains that are funded by seven thrift stores and take their name from Leviticus 25. Newswanger shares about ministry to families of inmates, after incarceration care living, the ministry of inmates to other inmates and encourages us to get to know the formerly incarcerated.
