LOCAL Closer Look: Literacy Council of Alaska - Fairbanks

Becky Hansen talks with Mike Kolasa, Executive Director of the Literacy Council of Alaska. If you can't read or write, and especially if you can't speak English, there are extreme barriers to your success in the United States. Classes and tutoring for adults include ESL and computer literacy, and student-centered tutoring is available for school-aged children. There are group lessons, events, presentations and training, as well as volunteer opportunities all around the topic of literacy.
