Jack Church spoke with Sarah Quarantotto, Executive Director for Miriam's House in Lynchburg, Virginia. Miriam's House first opened in 1994 and has now helped hundreds of families regain permanent housing after losing their homes for a variety of reasons. Most of the clients they serve are women with children who are often working but simply have gotten behind and ended up on the streets or living in their cars. Quarantotto talked about how Miriam's House not only helps with securing permanent housing for their clients but they also help with employment and education programs to help increase their earnings thru new career opportunities.
