Peter Kaye speaks with Jamie Hathaway, President, and CEO of Make-A-Wish Vermont and how they grant wishes to kids with critical illnesses. Hathaway shares many heartfelt stories of Wish Kids and their families taking part in amazing adventures from recreating the Polar Express and celebrating Christmas in October to being an astronaut and exploring Mars! He empathetically shares how when a child is sick a family is sick and sometimes even a community. Hathaway discusses the impact of a wish on not just the Wish Kid but also their family and community and how heavily Make-A-Wish Vermont relies on volunteers to make these wishes come true.
