Jeanice Lee talks to Katie Shannon, Marketing Director of Maui Humane Society. Primarily a dog and cat shelter, they also have rabbits, guinea pigs, and rabbits. Shannon says they intake 5k+ animals yearly. They are in desperate need of fosters/adopters as they are experiencing a historically high intake of animals. Shannon says they have a 10-day adoption trail. She encourages everyone to microchip and spay/neuter pets. Shannon shares about their fostering program and their Beach Buddies program where you can take a dog out of the shelter and on an adventure for the day.
