Jeanice Lee talks with Terry Garay, Development Manager with Mizell Center. Mizell Center has been serving seniors of the greater Palm Springs area 45+ yrs. They offer programs and services for seniors which are designed to encourage creativity, promote lifelong learning and a healthy/active lifestyle. Mizell Center offers numerous classes such as writing, painting, drawing, book writing, learning Spanish, absolute beginners ballet and classes on technology. Garay shares how they provide 600 meals a day through their Meals on Wheels program to ensure no senior goes hungry. Case Management is available to help deal with issues that seniors may face such as how to access social security, housing, transportation, medical needs - services offered in Spanish too.
