Jack Church spoke with Shana Holmes, Chief Executive Officer for the Southeast Illinois Agency on Aging Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Holmes talked about the growing population of senior citizens and how vital the various programs and services the agency offers were to this demographic. Holmes said the agency places a heavy emphasis on maintaining a proper diet and exercise to not just extend life but help insure as people age, they age well and are able to remain independent and in their own homes.
