Posted on Sunday, January 2, 2022 by Sarah Shaver

Sarah Shaver chatted with Carol Jackson, Executive Director of Partners In Hope of Troy, Ohio, a faith-based human services non-profit that offers hope to people in the Troy community and several smaller outlying communities through crisis relief services, education, and development programs, and senior services including a senior transportation program. Jackson said they work to move individuals and families beyond crisis-based living to stability by building relationships and partnerships, bringing “their faith to the table” and seeing how they can serve their community. Jackson outlined problems facing their clients and said Partners In Hope walks with people long-term to show Christian charity and care and said understanding each other is the crucial. Jackson described the exciting new “Getting Ahead While Getting Out” program in their county jails that helps the incarcerated be ready for life on the outside.
